In 1995 the  California Association of Tree Trimmers, also know as CATT, became  the Administrator for the trade association “Safety Group 529” for the businesses in the Workers Compensation Class Code 0106 that are policyholders with State Compensation Insurance Fund in California, also referred as SCIF or State Fund.

In 1999 the California Association of Tree Trimmers and Landscapers, Inc., also referred to as CATTLand, became California Corporation formed by Gloria Cordle.

As Safety Group 529, CATT offers:

1. The policyholder a 6% savings on their annual premium.

2. Maintaining the integrity of the group working with State Fund and Loss Control promoting safety programs for its members.

Safety Group 529 Workers Compensation Class Code 0106 represents employers and their employees in the following professions:

Tree Trimmers and Mill Workers           

	To be a member and eligible for Safety Group 529 you need to follow these requirements:
	A current policyholder with State Compensation Insurance Fund in California.
	A California employer with 51% of your payroll under the Workers Compensation class code of 0106.
	A workers compensation policyholder for a minimum of 1 year maintaining with a low loss ratio, or
	Have a qualifying low Loss-Ratio and a low Ex-Modification Ratio over a 3-year period.
	Meet State Fund’s underwriting guidelines.
	Pay a small annual membership fee.
